Charles Bradley at OXYO
Showman extraordinaire Charles Bradley has the aura, presence and charm of a true great. At 63, he is just as energetic and flamboyant as performers a third of his age. In true entertainer style he tirelessly worked the crowd for over an hour, performing a dress-change halfway through in a short interval in which the support band for the night The Extraordinaires played on, awaiting his return to the stage and helping to capture the audiences obvious anticipation.
To finish off his well-received London show, Charles Bradley, a man of the people, stepped down off of the stage in to the sell-out crowd and was greeted with kisses, hugs and handshakes from both male and female fans who felt honoured to be in his presence and suddenly within quite literal touching distance.
If you ever get the chance to see Charles Bradley perform live, take it! With all due respect to the man, many more shows like this and he’ll end up doing a Tommy Cooper.. and by this we don’t just mean performing the odd magic trick whilst rockin’ a Fez that’s for sure..
